About us

Founded in 2011, the Jabbi Environmental and Health Foundation (JEHF) is a Nigerian non-profit organization dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability, climate resilience, public health and community development.
JEHF works with governments, development partners, the private sector, academic institutions and local communities to develop practical, technology-driven and people-centred solutions to environmental and health challenges that are very apparently today.
Our scope supports Nigeria’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those relating to Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Climate Action (SDG 13), Life Below Water (SDG 14), Life on Land (SDG 15) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
Through research, advocacy, education, innovation and strategic partnerships, JEHF seeks to improve environmental quality, strengthen public health systems and promote sustainable livelihoods across Nigeria and Africa and the world at large.

Over the years, JEHF has:

  • Participated in international climate discussions under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
  • Worked with government institutions on environmental and public health initiatives.
  • Delivered community sensitization programmes across Nigeria.

Kareen Mohammed is the Founder of the Jabbi Environmental & Health Foundation (JEHF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing environmental and public health challenges in Nigeria.
With a deep commitment to human wellbeing and community transformation, Kareen’s work is rooted in compassion, service, and a holistic understanding of health. Her approach recognizes the connection between environmental conditions, emotional wellbeing, and overall quality of life.
She brings a unique perspective that integrates community health advocacy with holistic wellness principles—supporting individuals and communities not only through education and outreach, but also through initiatives that promote inner resilience, balance, and healing.
