Jabbi Environmental and Health Foundation (JEHF) is a Nigerian non-governmental organization established in 2011 to advance environmental sustainability, climate resilience, public health and sustainable community development.
JEHF works to address environmental and health challenges through advocacy, research, public education, community engagement and strategic collaboration with government institutions, development partners, academic institutions, the private sector and civil society.
Our approach focuses on promoting practical, evidence-informed and sustainable solutions that improve environmental quality, strengthen public health and support resilient communities.

Our Experience and Achievements
JEHF’s work and engagement have included environmental advocacy, public health initiatives, community sensitization and participation in national and international development activities.
Our experience includes:
* Participation in international climate change engagement, including the 2013 United Nations climate conference in Doha, Qatar, as part of the Federal Ministry of Environment delegation.
* Advocacy supporting maternal, newborn and child health initiatives under the SURE-P programme in north-eastern Nigeria.
* Participation in community environmental initiatives, including tree-planting and environmental awareness activities.
* Engagement in environmental restoration, sanitation awareness and sustainable environmental management initiatives.
* Collaboration with public institutions, community stakeholders and development actors to advance environmental and health priorities.

Organizational Leadership
Kareen Fatimah Mohammed is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Jabbi Environmental and Health Foundation (JEHF), Kareen is committed to human wellbeing and community transformation to thrive in a healthy environment. Her work is rooted in compassion, service and a holistic understanding of health. Her approach recognizes the connection between environmental conditions, ones emotional well being and over all quality of life. She provides strategic leadership for the organization and is responsible for advancing its mission of promoting environmental sustainability, public health, community development and social empowerment.
As the visionary behind JEHF, she has led the implementation of numerous environmental and health interventions, advocacy programme, public speaking, community sensitization campaigns and stakeholder engagement initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of vulnerable populations across Nigeria.
Under her professional background and over 40years of experience in leadership, JEHF has established partnerships with government agencies, development organizations, community leaders and other stakeholders to address critical environmental and public health challenges. Her commitment to sustainable development, environmental protection and preventive healthcare continues to guide the organization’s growth and impact.
Kareen, possesses extensive experience in project management, community mobilization, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, environmental sustainability, public health promotion, programme development and organizational leadership. Her passion and dedication to improving lives through innovative and sustainable solutions has positioned JEHF as a known and trusted organization in the environmental and health development sector.
JEHF also supported by a network of professionals, researchers and development experts committed to advancing sustainable environmental and health initiatives.
The organization benefits from guidance provided by experience Board of trustee members and an array of professional and skilled plus stakeholders who bring expertise from diverse sectors.
Impact and Engagement
Since its establishment, JEHF has contributed to research and advocacy efforts focused on strengthening Nigeria’s environmental management and public health systems.
The foundation continues to expand its work through community outreach programs, policy engagement and partnerships that promotes sustainable development and healthier communities.
